Bousquet Ski Area, smack dab in the middle of the Berkshires in Pittsfield, offers great family skiing or snowboarding opportunities plus tubing, all less than 10 miles from the inn!
Catamount Ski Area
Hovering between New York and MA, skiers here can actually move from state to state on the slopes. Catamount Ski Area straddles the border between Massachusetts and New York, allowing visitors to actually move from state to state on the slopes. Catering to skiers and snowboarders alike, the mountain offers some great, challenging runs and is only about 19 miles from the inn.
Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort
Jiminy Peak is the largest full-scale resort in Southern New England, with three terrain parks, and six different lifts serving both alpine skiing and snowboarding only 45 minutes from Applegate Inn.
Blandford Ski Area
Blandford has 22 trails and two terrain parks ranging from beginner to advanced. If you’re here in early February, you’ve got to see the Cardboard Box Race – what a hoot! Located about a half-hour from the inn.
Ski Butternut is located in scenic Great Barrington and featuresd 22 ski trails, and two terrain parks supporting both downhill skiers and snowboarders, plus a seven-lane tubing run, all on 110 acres – yet, only 11 miles away from our inn!
Otis Ridge is a great place for new skiers to learn with affordable passes and a popular ski-school. More challenging runs exist for those already in the know and, like the rest, is conveniently located at only 20 minutes away from Applegate Inn.
As you can see, there are plenty of resorts to choose from and all of them are less than an hour (most less than half an hour!) away from our Lee, MA bed and breakfast, Applegate Inn. Come ski the Berkshires and let us be your host – you’ll have a great time!
