The Williamstown Theatre Festival has been bringing the finest actors, directors, designers, and playwrights to the Berkshires stage since since 1955, with each season providing both classic and new productions an opportunity to shine. One of the nation’s top training programs for upcoming generations of stage performers and producers, Williamstown Theatre Festival received the 2002 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre and the 2011 Commonwealth Award for Achievement.

Off The Main Road – June 30 through July 19
Starring Kyra Sedgwick
Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winner Kyra Sedgwick plays the emotionally-fragile Faye Garrit, seeking refuge from her husband, a former professional baseball player, by checking into a run-down resort on the outskirts of St. Louis with her 17-year-old daughter. Personal, political, and sexual awakenings allow them to move forward with new and heartbreaking clarity.
Legacy – July 1 through July 12
Starring Jessica Hecht and Eric Bogosian
Eric Bogosian and Jessica Hecht play novelist Neil Abrams and his wife as they come to terms with the struggles and failures of life, both professionally and interpersonally; Abrams novel being panned by The New York Times causes him to reopen the conversation with his wife about starting a family … who has, unbeknowst to him, begun a relationship with one of his grad students.
Kinship – July 15 through July 25
Starring Cynthia Nixon
The lives of a fiery newspaper editor,played by Cynthia Nixon, an upstart journalist, and an overly-protective mother unravel when a passionate affair turns into an intense power struggle. Kinship is the exploration of the deep, often funny, and ever intense pursuit of happiness.
Paradise Blue – July 22 through August 2
Conflicted about selling his once-vibrant jazz club in Detroit’s Blackbottom neighborhood, a trumpeter’s world is turned upside down when a mysterious woman comes to town with plans of her own and a walk that drives men mad.
Unknown Soldier – July 30 through August 9
Ellen Rabinowitz sets out to understand her past after she discovers a mysterious photograph of a soldier while cleaning out her deceased grandmother’s home. As she chases the truth about the soldier in the photo, Ellen is drawn into a history that leads her to unexpected truths.
A Moon for the Misbegotten – August 5 through August 23
Starring Audra McDonald and Will Swenson
Nobel laureate Eugene O’Neill’s final masterpiece, A Moon for the Misbegotten is set in 1923, in a dilapidated, Connecticut house where a salty tenant farmer fears he is about to lose his property. In an attempt to fix the situation, his daughter, Six-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald, lures their landlord, , Tony Award-nominee Will Swenson, into bed one night. The truth comes into focus for these two under the glow of the moon, but what of tomorrow?
Chewing Gum Dreams and An Intervention – August 12 through August 23
Chewing Gum Dreams: Fourteen-year-old Tracey Gordon is rude, crude, and riotous – but beneath her tough exterior lies a very real fear that the future holds very little for her.
An Intervention: A whole lot of booze, a new girlfriend, and government involvement in a foreign war are just some of the factors that threaten to drive a massive wedge between two people. Can they close the ever-widening gap in their relationship, or have they reached a breaking point?
