Tanglewood's 2015 Festival of Contemporary MusicIt’s time once again for Tanglewood’s annual Festival of Contemporary Music, scheduled for July 20-27, 2015!

Tanglewood has been the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra since 1937 as well as host to three academies of music: Tanglewood Music Center, Days in the Arts, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. The Festival of Contemporary Music is Tanglewood’s annual presentation of modern American chamber and orchestral compositions.

2015’s Festival of Contemporary Music centers primarily on composers from both the current Tanglewood Music Center faculty and alumni, with 15 world premieres of pieces commissioned for Tanglewood Music Center’s 75th anniversary, as well as works by celebrated composers such as Bernstein, Copland, Foss, and Ives.
