Lee Founders Weekend 2016It’s time once again to roll out for Lee Founders Weekend 2016 in Lee, MA! Scheduled for September 16th through the 18th, 2016, this free, 3-day, Berkshires festival is a very popular event.

Lee Founders Weekend is a full weekend of fun for everyone. Come out and enjoy what is shaping up to be yet another three days of perfect weather, fabulous food, amazing music, and fun activities!

A traditional, hometown celebration, you wont want to miss the annual parade, arts & crafts vendors, Duck Derby, vintage tennis tournament, sidewalk sales, and more!

Lee Founders Weekend 2016 Schedule Highlights

All Day Friday & Saturday – Street Artisans/Craft Fair
Visit the booths and purchase one-of-a-kind, handmade jewelry, wood carvings, clothing, decorative items, and much more.

Friday, Sept 16 –
5pm to 8pm – Taste of Lee

Dine al fresco on offerings from Lee’s finest restaurants and local food vendors. Held on a closed section of Main St., you’ll also be entertained by the live, foot-tapping music of the Housatonic Philharmonic and Moonshine Holler!

7:30pm – Saturday Night Liv Variety Show at the Spectrum Playhouse
Laugh along with Liv Cummins and her sketch comedy/variety show. Saturday Night Liv is a live variety show featuring songs, sketch comedy, musical theater moments, acrobats, and more!

sunset – Fireworks
This year’s Lee Founders Weekend includes a fireworks display at sunset, visible from all the doings on Main Street!

Saturday, Sept 17 –
8:15am – 5K Road Race

Come watch the runners tackle the Finnegan Course at Lee High School. You can even register to join in!

10am – Hometown Parade
Come experience a good, old-fashioned, main street parade. Floats, marching bands, clowns, fancy cars, horse-drawn wagons, and more will keep you entertained. The highlight of the weekend – don’t miss it!

11:30am – Big Green Egg Cooking Contest
Come out and watch as local chefs compete for the title of “Best Burger in Lee” as prepared in a Big Green Egg cooker.

2pm to 8pm – Festival Latino
A community festival featuring Latin American Dance troupes and a variety of Latino foods in Church Park. www.festivallatino.org

Duck Derby – 2pm
Join in the fun of the annual Duck Derby for only $5 – or just watch as hundreds of rubber duckies float through Downtown Lee on the Housatonic River. The first duck across the finish line wins $500, with many more prizes available for runners up.

Sunday, Sept 18 –
8am to 11am – Lee Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast

The annual Lee Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at Saint Mary’s School is the best – some would say only – way to finish up your Lee Founders Weekend. So tasty!

10am – CTA Vintage Tennis Tournament
Held at the Greenock Country Club, come watch as the players compete in this old-school tennis tournament!
