Tanglewood Schedule 2019The 2019 Tanglewood schedule has been announced and tickets go on sale the morning of February 10th. Now is the time to make your plans for Tanglewood season 2019!

The announcement of the Tanglewood schedule is always an exciting and eagerly anticipated event. As the summer home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) the annual Tanglewood Music Festival brings classical music’s biggest names to the Berkshires stage every summer. This year is no exception, with a cornucopia of returning and first-time stars, premiers, and special events on the calendar.

2019 will see the opening of the Tanglewood Learning Institute and a full-performance of Wagner’s “Die Walküre.” 2019 will also feature the world premiere of “The Brightness of Light,” Kevin Puts’ piece based on letters between Alfred Stieglitz and Georgia O’Keeffe.

Tickets for Tanglewood 2018 are on sale soon!Happy New Year! We’re off to a running start with tickets for Tanglewood 2018 going on sale to the general public on Sunday, January 28th. Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival 2018 has also been announced. Now is the time to solidify those Berkshire summer getaway plans!

It may still be cold out but the announcements of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Tanglewood 2018 are reminders of summer’s approaching warmth. Both beloved festivals fulfill an annual, Berkshires tradition of world class music and dance performances going back nearly a century.

The 20th Anniversary of Ozawa Hall is just one part of the upcoming 2014 Tanglewood season

Winter is slowly waning to spring (no, really) and the 2014 Tanglewood season is fast approaching with both some familiar faces and a few new ones.

Tanglewood welcomes back numerous familiar conductors, soloists, and vocalists this year, such as James Taylor, Yo Yo Ma, Dawn Upshaw, and Joshua Bell.

Some of the new faces to the Tanglewood music festival are trumpeter Hakan Hardenberger, violinist Leonidis Kavakos, and Jason Alexander of “Seinfeld” fame who, beyond acting and comedy, also happens to be a singer.
