Applegate Inn is a four-season retreat located in the town of Lee, in the heart of the Berkshires. Our diverse and beautiful region is well worth exploring, and Applegate Inn makes the perfect “home base” for just such adventures.
We like to say that there’s always something to see or do in the Berkshires and it’s absolutely true. Between the area’s natural beauty and world-class offerings like the Tanglewood Music Festival and the Norman Rockwell Museum, you’re likely to spend more time figuring out what to miss than what to see.

Mother’s Day Getaway?
Maybe taking your mother (and sister and their best friends) to the Berkshires could be a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day this year!
Go shopping together and enjoy staying at our beautiful bed and breakfast. We have 10 luxuriant guestrooms or select our carriage house suite, an independent cottage separated from the main house, with two bedrooms. Start your day right with one of our delicious home made breakfasts.
Along with beautiful rooms, the grounds at Applegate Inn will be a pleasant addition. Relax on the porch near the pool in wicker furniture with comfortable cushions, perfect for starting a good book or chatting with friends.
Get some sun in the lounge chairs at the pool’s edge. Lounge chairs can easily be moved under one of our two apple trees that flank the pool if you need some shade later in the afternoon. Two comfortable hammocks are also located near the pool.
Come and see us this spring!

This humble desk accoutrement, crimson paint peeling and wooden legs wobbling, will journey around New England building connections, meeting innkeepers and generally exploring some of the most beautiful corners of our country.”
Sounds fun, right? The Red Chair’s visit to our Berkshires bed and breakfast was a great way for us to share with travelers all that the Berkshires has to offer as well as our thriving little community of Lee. Here are the places we brought the Red Chair:
